Initial Whole Body Screening

- This service includes:
- Photo mapping of the body
- Comprehensive scanning of moles by highly trained melanographers (images of abnormal moles/skin lesions will be stored digitally for future review and comparison)
- Expert assessment of images by doctors with certification in dermoscopy
- Referral to Bedford Day Surgery, if required
* Fee excludes a doctor’s fee that will be covered by Medicare rebate.
For children up to 12 years old the fee will vary depending on time taken.

Annual Whole Body Screening

- This service includes:
- Comparison images of all lesions previously stored to assess any growth or change within a mole
- Comprehensive Whole Body screening and digital storage of any new moles/skin lesions for future review
- Expert assessment of images by doctors with certification in dermoscopy
- Referral to Bedford Day Surgery, if required

Please Note:
For the majority of people the time allowed for a whole body screening of an hour is adequate, however there will be a number of people for whom the screening process will take longer (those who have Dysplastic Nevus Syndrome in particular). It may be necessary to make a subsequent appointment to complete the screening where additional fees will apply.
Preference is for children to be cared for outside of the appointment room.
If making your appointment online, Molechecks will be in contact via phone to secure your appointment by taking a $80 deposit. Please ensure you provide us with the telephone number you’d like us to contact you on. When we’re unable to contact patients after a reasonable number of attempts, the Molechecks appointment will be cancelled to allow the appointment slot to be filled by another patient.
When a patient does not attend their appointment or cancels less than 24 hours prior to their appointment, the deposit will be forfeited and retained by Molechecks as per our Cancellation Policy. An SMS reminder will also be sent to your mobile number provided within 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please respond and confirm to ensure Cancellation Policy is not applied.
