Skincare Detection Program

We assess all the moles and red lesions on your body and using image capture technology store images of those lesions needing serial monitoring for future follow up.

Digital image capturing is the only accurate way to compare, review and identify mole changes. It allows us to detect subtle changes in a mole.

The review process has enabled diagnoses of melanomas that did not have obvious melanoma abnormal features on first saving but were detected on growth.

Computerised Dermoscopy with image capture allows changes to be detected within a fraction of a millimeter. Changes this small would otherwise go undetected.

Our Service

On the day of your visit our highly trained Doctors and Melanographers use the worlds most thorough skin cancer detection program using:

Whole Body Photography

About half of all melanomas emerge on plain skin. This can be detected if we have a photo record of the skin for future comparison, so we can spot new moles.

Every Mole/Mark Assessed

A dermoscope is used to assess every mole on the body. Not all early melanomas are visible to the naked eye. Some melanomas we have diagnosed have been as small as 1mm in diameter.

In most cases our patients were not aware of the melanoma on their body.

Dermoscopy is the technology that lets us look through the skin to its structures.

Dermoscopy allows us to see what the naked eye cannot see.

Our technology uses polarised light to create a 30x magnified image of the skin.

Using dermoscopy the diagnosis rate for melanomas increases from 40-50% to over 90%.

Serial Monitoring

All moles with abnormal structures are saved digitally. Healthy moles do not change or change in predictable ways. Melanomas change and rewrite their structure.

Serial monitoring enables early detection of melanomas.
